Newport Beach to LAX is one of the most-requested transfers in Orange County — and one where traffic timing makes or breaks your flight. Here’s how to get it right.

How long does it take?

Off-peak, plan on roughly 60–75 minutes. During weekday rush or summer Fridays, build in 90 minutes or more. Your chauffeur knows when the 405 versus the 73 toll road is the smarter call.

When to leave

For a domestic flight, we generally recommend arriving at LAX about two hours before departure; for international, three. Working backward from that — and from your check-in window — we’ll suggest a pickup time that accounts for the actual traffic at your departure hour.
